Internal Complaints Committee

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of J.D.S.G. College, Bokakhat, is a statutory body constituted under the UGC (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students in Higher Educational Institutions Regulations, 2015, in compliance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2015.

The ICC aims to create and maintain a safe, secure, and gender-sensitive environment for all members of the institution—especially women—free from sexual harassment and gender discrimination.

Objectives:

  • To prevent sexual harassment of women at the workplace.
  • To receive complaints of sexual harassment and address them in a time-bound and confidential manner.
  • To conduct inquiries and recommend appropriate action.
  • To organize awareness and sensitization programs for students, staff, and faculty.

 

Functions of the ICC:

  • Investigate complaints of sexual harassment
  • Ensure fair and timely redressal
  • Recommend corrective actions to the institution’s authority
  • Conduct training and awareness activities
  • Submit annual reports to the statutory body
  • The ICC assures confidentiality, neutrality, and a victim-friendly process in handling complaints.
