IT IS AN IMPORTANT ORGANIZATION OF THE COLLEGE FUNCTIONING FOR MANY YEARS. THE MEMBERS OF NSS OF THIS COLLEGE RENDER VARIOUS BENEVOLENT SERVICES IN THE NEIGHBOURING AREAS OF THE SUB DIVISION. IT UNFOLDS THE OPPORTUNITIES TO THE STUDENTS TO INCULCATE THE SPIRIT OF FELLOW-FEELING, FRIENDLINESS AND COOPERATION AND SERVICE TO THE DOWNTRODDEN PEOPLE FOR THEIR SOCIOECONOMIC UPLIFTMENT.
A Flower plantation program was organised by the NSS Unit, JDSG College in association with Upper Assam Physical Handicraft centre on 13th December,2022. Total numbers of volunteers were 12.
World Aids Day was observed by the NSS Unit in association with IQAC, on 1st December 2022 at Video Conference hall. Principal Dr. Jayanta Gogoi, Dr. Jayanta Das, Coordinator, IQAC, MS. Neevanoni Boruah ,Assistant professor spoke on the occasion. Total participants were 15.

On 5th November, 2022 an Orientation programme on Ureport at JDSG College was organised by JDSG College, CNB,Govt. Model coll Kaziranga, Marangi Mahavidyalaya in association with WAY Foundation, Guwahati.
National Unity Divas was observed by NSS unit JDSG College on 31st October 2022 at Upper Assam Physically Handicapped centre, Bokakhat. Mr Jitu Sarma Rajkhuwa, Mr Uttam Saikia, P.Saikia, M.Das, K Barhoi, Dikshya Saikia including 40 students were present in the meeting.
A cleanliness drive on National Highway 37 from JDSG College to Bokakhat town was organised by the NSS Unit of JDSG College on 30th October 2022 with 20 students volunteers.
A LED bulb manufacturing training programme was held on 26th October 2022 at Rusa building of JDSG College. ACDC & non ACDC bulbs were manufactured by 9 students. The Training instructor for the programme was our student Jintu Dutta. It was organised by the NSS Unit & Career Counseling Cell of JDSG College.
A blood donation drive was organised by the NSS Unit in association with Golaghat blood bank of SKK civil hospital Golaghat held on 1st October 2022 at JDSG College.Total 7 officials & technical persons including doctors, 21 volunteers donated blood .
The NSS Foundation Day was observed on 24th sept 2022 at Rusa building of JDSG College.Programme officers P.Saikia,M.Das, students volunteers Bishwajit Das,Korobi Dutta, Kishor Gogoi have spoken in the meeting. Roshmirekha Gogoi, Labanya Saikia sung a modern song, Tanu Agarwalla have given vote of thanks. A total of 70 students participated in the programme.
A har ghar tiranga programme was organised by NSS Units on the occasion of Azadi ka amrit mahotsav of 75 years of Independence celebration .The duration of the programme was from 10th to 15th August 2022. Total 7 students took part in the programme.
Observation of 8th International Yoga Divas on 21st June, 2022:
8th International Yoga Divas with the theme ‘Yoga for Humanity’ has been organised by NSS, NCC & Yoga Centre of JDSG College on 21st June, 2022 in the college auditorium. Principal, Dr J. Gogoi has given welcome address by lighting the lamp. Ms. Geeta Medhok, Provery of Golaghat & Karbi Anglong district,Vivekananda kendra, Assam has given speech as chief guest. Mr.Romesh Lohar of said organization led yoga practice with the students. Retired Prof.P.K. Phukon, A.Bezboruah, N.N Nayak, P Saikia, M.Das, M.Tokbi, D.Borah, A.Hazarika along with 50 students have attended the programme.
Cleanliness Drive on the occasion of Hon’ble President Mr.Ramnath Kobind vigit to Kaziranga National park:
A cleanliness drive has been organised by NSS Unit JDSG College on 24 & 25th Feb, 2022 on the occasion of Hon’ble President Mr.Ramnath Kobind visit to Kaziranga National park. Total 22 students participated including teacher in-charge P Saikia, M Das. College campus & national highway had been cleaned by the NSS students.
Farewell to Mr. Prasanta Kr. Phukan:
A farewell ceremony was organised by NSS Unit for the farewell ceremony of Mr Prasanta kr. Phukon, Associate Professor, Deptt of Commerce & Programme Officer, NSS on 8th Feb.2022 at Rusa building. Ms Santisaya Barua, SD Saikia, P Saikia,M Das and 30 students were present in the meeting.
