Today, JDSG College, Bokakhat, Assam hosted a special programme (Hybrid mode) on Initiation and dissemination of ‘Nijoot Moina Aasoni 2.0.’ The meeting was graced by Sjt. Atul Bora, Honorable Cabinet Minister, Govt. of Assam and MLA Bokakhat Constituency, District Commissioner Sjt. Pulok Mahanta, Co- District Commissioner Smt. Shivani Jerngal, Principal, JDSG College and other teaching and non-teaching members of the College. The meeting hosted on Hybrid mode with the rendition of the state anthem, followed by welcome address by Dr. NoniGopal Mahanta, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Gauhati University. Dr. Ranoj Pegu, Honorable Education Minister, GoA also deliberated on the significance of the scheme. This was followed by Honorable Chief Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed to the audience and declared the Nijoot Moina Scheme 2.0 open for the current academic session.
Thereafter, a meeting was held at the College Community Hall, addressing the girl students regarding the initiation of the scheme in the institute. Honorable Principal, JDSG College gave his welcome address and CDC, Smt. Shivani Jerngal had given her deliberation on the scheme and the socio-economic importance of education of girl students. This was followed by speech of Honorable DC, Golaghat, District and Honorable Minister Sjt. Atul Bora on the success of Nijoot Moina Aasoni 1.0 in ensuring higher enrollment of girl students Post-Metric programmes. The meeting also saw the distribution of symbolic form distribution to 10 girls from H.S. and UG programmes. It must be mentioned here that the meeting was also attended by 700 girl students of the College. Finally meeting was concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
