September 2, 2025মহাবিদ্যালয়ৰ হীৰক জয়ন্তী সামৰণী অনুষ্ঠানৰ লগত সংগতি ৰাখি যোৱা ৫ ছেপ্তেম্বৰ ২০২৫ তাৰিখে মহাবিদ্যালয়ৰ উপাধ্যক্ষ, বোকাখাতৰ বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তি , বিভাগৰ অধ্যাপকসকল তথা ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰীৰ উপস্থিতিত শুক্ৰবাৰে দিনৰ ১২ বজাত অন্যান্য বিভাগসমূহৰ দৰে অসমীয়া বিভাগৰ স্নাতক আৰু স্নাতকোত্তৰ পৰ্যায়ৰ দুখন প্ৰাচীৰ পত্ৰিকা ক্ৰমে “আধাৰ” আৰু “সৃজণ ” উন্মোচন হয়। বিভাগৰ সাহিত্য চ’ৰাৰ উদ্যোগত ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰী দ্বাৰা প্ৰকাশ পোৱা আধাৰৰ অন্তৰ্গত মিৰ্মাঙৰ মূল বিষয় আছিল- মিছিং সমাজ আৰু সংস্কৃতি। উন্মোচক ৰূপে উপস্থিত থাকে, বোকাখাত উচ্চতৰ মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়ৰ অধ্যক্ষ-শ্ৰী যুত কমল গগৈ আনহাতে সৃজণ ৰ মূল বিষয় আছিল কৃষি ভিত্তিক উৎসৱ -পাৰ্বন, উন্মোচক ৰূপে উপস্থিত থাকে সদৌ অসম লেখিকা সমাৰোহ সমিতি ৰ সভানেত্ৰী- সুবৰ্ণ লতা বৰদলৈ॥ মহাবিদ্যালয়ৰ সন্মানীয় অধ্যক্ষ ,বিশিষ্ট অতিথি-কল্পনা চেতিয়া, অন্য বিভাগৰ অধ্যাপক তথা বিভাগৰ অধ্যাপকসকল আৰু ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰীৰ সহযোগিতাত এই উন্মোচন প্ৰক্ৰিয়াৰ অন্ত পৰে॥॥

100th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Celebrated at JDSG College, Bokakhat
Today, on 8th September 2025, JDSG College fraternity celebrated the birth centenary of the ‘Bard of Brahmaputra’ Dr. Bhupen Hazarika with day long activities in the Campus.
At 9 A.M. the celebration began with the lamp lighting and floral tribute offered in heartfelt remembrance of the Music Maestro by the teachers, staff and students of the College.
At 11 A M. a special lecture cum cultural programme was organised in the College auditorium. The programme began with a Bhupendra Sangeet sung by Shyamalima Das— a fifth semester student of Assamese Department. Ms. Rasna Padi (Pegu), Head of the Department of Assamese, and Convernor of today’s celebration committee declared the purpose of the Programme. On the other hand, the Hon’ble Principal, Dr. Jayanta Gogoi, delivered the welcome address. The programme was decorated with delightful Bhupendra sangeet, poetry recitation and dance performed by both teachers and students.
Mr. Atul Bezbaruah, the retired H.O.D of the Commerce Department, delivered a special talk enriched with his soulful renditions of songs like ‘Bistirno Parore’, ‘Akaxi Ganga Bisora Nai’, ‘Moi Eti Jajabor’, ‘Manuhe Manuhar Babe’ and several others.
Later, the results of the essay competition were also declared which was organised as part of the celebration among the students from Higher Secondary to Post Graduation.
At 5 P.M. the day-long celebration was concluded in with the lighting of 100 candles by the students commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of Xudhakantha.
