Report on the One-Day Workshop on Preparation for Competitive Examinations

Organized by IQAC & Career, Counselling & Placement Cell, JDSG College in Collaboration with SPM IAS Academy on 8^th October, 2025

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Career Counselling and Placement Cell of JDSG College, Bokakhat, successfully organized a one-day workshop on ‘Preparation for Competitive Examinations’ on 8^th October 2025 in collaboration with SPM IAS ACADEMY. The main aim of this proragramme is to equip students with strategic knowledge and motivation to excel in various competitive and civil service examinations. The workshop commenced at 12 pm in the college premises under the advisership of Dr. Jayanta Gogoi, principal of the college. The session was presided over by Prashanta Saikia, Vice-principal of the college. In his inaugural and welcome address, he stressed the growing need for systematic preparation for competitive exams and commenced the efforts of IQAC for organizing this timely initiative.  Dr. Chiranjib Dahal, Assistant Coordinator, IQAC, outlined the workshop’s goal to demystify the preparation process for competitive exams and to provide students with a clear, actionable roadmap. The workshop featured Gitartha Kumar Bhuyan, Senior Manager of SPM IAS ACADEMY, who coordinated the session. The primary resource person for the workshop was Ankita Baruah, the Co-District Assistant Commissioner of Bokakhat, whose expert guidance formed the core of the event. She provided an immersive and highly motivational session, sharing invaluable insights drawn from personal experience. The workshop concluded with a formal vote of thanks extended by the IQAC Assistant Coordinator Dr. Dahal. The workshop was highly impactful and served as a significant source of inspiration and clarity for the attending students, where 50 students of FYUGP  3^rd and 5^th Semester took part.
