Awareness Programme on Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat JDSG College, Bokakhat organized a brief Awareness Programme on Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat to sensitize students about the issues related to child marriage. The session was conducted by the Women Cell in collaboration with IQAC.
Ms. Monsumi Sarma, Secretary, Women Cell, served as the Resource Person and spoke on the social and psychological consequences of child marriage, stressing the need for collective action to eliminate the practice.
The programme was attended by Dr. Monalisa Borgohain (IQAC Coordinator), Ms. Pratyashi Tamuly, Ms. Palashi Baruah, and Dr. Bikash Chetia, who also shared their views.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion, encouraging students to actively contribute towards building a child-marriage-free society.
