May 8, 2026Workshop on Research Methodology for Undergraduate Students Successfully Organised at JDSG College, Bokakhat
The Teachers’ Unit of JDSG College, Bokakhat successfully organised a Workshop on Research Methodology for Undergraduate Students on 7th May 2026 at Digital Room 1 of the college premises. The programme was conducted with the objective of introducing undergraduate students to the fundamentals of research, academic writing, and research ethics, while encouraging a spirit of inquiry and innovation among young learners.
The workshop commenced with an inaugural session attended by faculty members, students, and invited guests. The Principal of the college, Dr. Jayanta Gogoi, ceremonially lighted the lamp and delivered the inaugural speech, highlighting the importance of research in the context of the National Education Policy (NEP). The welcome address was delivered by the President of the Teachers’ Unit, Neebha Noni Baruah. The resource persons for the workshop were Dr. Arfan Hussain, Department of English, Government Model College, Kaziranga, and Dr. Debajit Bhuyan, Department of Economics, Government Model College, Deithor.
Both speakers delivered insightful and interactive sessions on various aspects of research methodology, including topic selection, data collection, referencing techniques, report writing, and research ethics.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across different departments and provided valuable exposure to the fundamentals of academic research.
The vote of thanks was offered by Hirimpa Saikia, who on behalf of the Teachers’ Unit of J.D.S.G College, expressed gratitude to all participants and resource persons for contributing to the successful conduct of the programme. The inaugural programme was anchored by Dr. Pritam Panda.
