March 12, 2026The Department of English organized a combined mentoring session on 18 March, 2026, for students of the 2nd, 4th, and 6th Semester (Major) as part of its commitment to student support and academic excellence.
The session was conducted by the Head of the Department along with all faculty members, who engaged in one-on-one interactions with students. The focus was on identifying and addressing teaching-learning challenges, as well as understanding personal issues that may affect academic performance.
During the interactions, students shared their concerns related to comprehension, study habits, and examination performance. Faculty members provided individual guidance, suggesting practical strategies to improve learning outcomes, enhance participation, and develop effective study routines.
The session also emphasized the importance of:
* Consistent academic effort and discipline
* Active classroom engagement
* Seeking timely support from mentors
In addition, students were guided on selecting skill-based courses that align with their career goals and interests, helping them make informed academic choices.
The mentoring session strengthened the teacher-student relationship and created a supportive space for open dialogue.
