February 17, 2026A three-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Stress Management commenced on 28 January 2026 at Digital 1 classroom, JDSG College, Bokakhat, organized by IQAC of the college in collaboration with ICT Academy, Tamil Nadu. The program aims to enhance the emotional well-being, resilience, and professional efficiency of faculty members by equipping them with practical strategies to manage stress in academic environments.
The program began with an inaugural session anchored by the IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Monalisa Borgohain, who welcomed all dignitaries, resource persons, and participants. She highlighted the growing need for stress-management competencies among educators, especially in today’s multi-tasking and highly demanding academic landscape.
The workshop was inaugurated by Vice Principal Mr. Prasanta Saikia following which, the objectives of the FDP were shared, emphasizing the importance of mindfulness, work-life balance, and psychological resilience as integral components of institutional quality enhancement by Resource Person Mr. Sunil Borah, Senior, Soft Skill Trainer, ICT Academy.
The first technical session explored the nuances of understanding the root causes and triggers of stress– physiological and psychological responses to stress, the impact of stress on teaching effectiveness and student engagement.
The resource person facilitated an activity based interactive discussion, encouraging participants to reflect on their personal stress patterns and adopt mindful strategies to navigate daily challenges.
The program saw active participation from faculty members across various departments. The session created a safe and encouraging space for open dialogue, sharing of personal experiences, and collective learning.
