College, Bokakhat organized the August Revolution Memorial Lecture on 8th August 2025 at the Video Conferencing Hall. The lecture programme started with the felicitation of Dr. Jayanta Gogoi, Principal of the college, Dr. Tribedi Chutia, the resource person and Dr. Monalisa Borgohain, Coordinator, IQAC. They were felicitated by Angarag Sandilya, Assistanr Prof in the department. Dr. Jayanta Gogoi delivered the welcome address highlighting the significance of Quit India resolution. Sr Prasanta Saikia, Head of the Department, spoke on the genesis of the lecture. The memorial lecture was delivered by Dr. Tribedi Chutia, HoD (i/c), dept. of Political Science, Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Viswavidyalaya, Golaghat. Senior faculty member from the department Sri Nagendra Nath Nayak and among the guests the Heads of the departments namely Mrs Rachna Padi Pegu from Assamese, Mrs Manju Moni Neog from Education, Sri Motiram Das from Commerce, Mrs Sangita Saikia from Philosophy, Dr. Bichitra Hira, Assistant Coordinator, IQAC, Sri Mayuresh Borthakur from History were present in the programme organized to commemorate the historic Quit India Movement. As many as 60 students participated in the lecture and interacted with the resource person Dr. Chutia. The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks offered by Dr. Santi Saya Boruah, Associate Professor in the dept.
