The Central Library of J.D.S.G. College is the heart of the institution was established
in the year 1964 at the time of establishment of the college. It is a well equipped
library, centrally located with an open access system. The library holds an extensive
collection of over 31000 information resources and provides access to the NLIST
program being jointly executed by the e-shodhSindhu Consortium , INFLIBNET
Centre and the INDEST-AICTE Consortium,. Additionally, the library has recently
subscribed to the Governments visionary One Nation One Subscription (ONOS)
scheme under VikshitBharat@2047. The library infrastructure consists of
acquisition section, periodical & reference section, Librarians room, circulation
desk, property counter, newspaper reading section along with separate reading
rooms for faculty and student. The library is automated with ILMS named SOUL
3.0, designed and developed by INFLIBNET Centre.

• To provide innovative services to encourage creativity as well as stimulate
intellectual curiosity to facilitate lifelong learning and achieve the objectives
of higher education.

Mission
• To provide right information to the right user at the right time by the right
possible way.
• To inculcate and motivate in promoting the reading habit among the learners.

❖ Students, Faculty and staff of the college are eligible to obtain membership
of the Library. Students shall get membership after their admission.
❖ Strict Silence has to be observed in the library. Conversation, making
noise, smoking & sleeping inside the reading room are strictly prohibited.
❖ Students must enter the library with college uniform. Without college
uniform, no one is allowed to enter the library.
❖ Students should carefully examine the book issued to them before leaving
the library counter, if any damage or mutilation in the book issued to him
/ her is noticed, it should be reported to the Librarian before taking delivery
of the same. The borrower will be responsible for loss or damage of any
book borrowed from the college library.
❖ The readers must intimate immediately to the Librarian if he/she loses the
library card. The Librarian will issue a library card after proper verification
❖ Books must be returned within the stipulated period, failing which shall
pay and overdue charge of Rs 1/- per day until the book is returned.
❖ Readers are not allowed to take their personal belongings such as hand
bags, umbrellas, files, etc inside the library.
❖ The librarian reserves the right to suspend membership of any member found
misbehaving, abusing the library staff or behaving in an indecent manner.
❖ The authority reserves the right of framing any additional rule as may be
necessary from time to time.
❖ Book Bank Facility : Under this facility 4 (four) books are issued to such
students belonging to Below Poverty line
