As per the decision of the executive meeting, the English Association invited Dr. Arfan Hussain and Mallika Tamuly, Assistant Professors, Government Model College, Kaziranga and Ms Juriti Goswami, Assistant Professor, Government Model College, Deithor. Accordingly, Ms Juriti Goswami interacted with the sixth semester students on 31st of May, 2022. She delivered a lecture on Intizar Hussain’s “Basti”, a novel prescribed for the 6th semester students. She discussed the various themes of the novel as well as the concept of partition literature. The session that lasted for three hours was very interactive and extremely fruitful.
Dr. Arfan Hussain interacted with the students on 13 June, 2022. He delivered a talk on travel writing with special reference to Al Biruni’s “India”. His presentation was very insightful and the students were highly benefitted.
Ms Mallika Tamuly interacted with the students on the 14th of June, 2022. She delivered a lecture on Post Colonial Literature with special focus on the prescribed short stories and poems. The highly interactive session lasted more than three hours.
