The Department of Commerce successfully organized the inauguration programme of three Add-on Courses on 2nd March 2026 at 2:30 PM. The courses introduced were:
Manufacturing and Repairing of LED Bulbs, Certificate Course on Tally,
Add-on Course on Entrepreneurship and Business Management.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries and participants. The event was graced by the presence of the faculty members of the Department of Commerce — Ms. Papori Bora, Mr. Kabir Barhoi, and Dr. Palashi Baruah.

Ms. Pronomika Das attended the programme as the Resource Person for the Certificate Course on Tally. She shared valuable insights on the importance of practical accounting skills and highlighted how proficiency in Tally can enhance students’ employability in today’s competitive job market.

The faculty members also addressed the gathering and emphasized the significance of skill-based and career-oriented courses in addition to the regular academic curriculum. They encouraged students to actively participate and make the best use of these opportunities to develop entrepreneurial abilities and technical expertise.
